This card features the poinsettia painted in Prima's opal magic Aqua/rose

Look at Santa!  These moulds are so FAB!

And the Snowman - the white pearl again is just perfect for these images!

And last just some layers of paper with the tinsel and gold snowflake charm.

Another stamp from The Netherlands and another class at Scraporium!

These are all of the things students will get to make in the class - Two cards, a gift bag with tag, and 3 additional tags:

A close up of the tags.  I covered the flowers in Versamark and then clear embossed them - super shiny and slick looking in person:

Here is the stamped bag and gift tag:

One on the back of the bag:

And these are the products they get to keep - a Prima Watercolor Confection set "Pastel Dreams," and the Flower Fantasie Stamp from Holland.
I will have to teach 2 classes of 10 because so many people want to take this class!

I haven't posted in So Long!

I have to admit, I am much more active on Instagram and have more people I interact with than on Blogger.  That being said, I didn't realize I hadn't posted since June because sweet JoAnn Burnham from Crafty Nana's Blog emailed me to ask if I was alright!  How thoughtful was that?!!!  And it's quicker to comment on Instagram and stay in touch because I have my phone with me all of the time!  Oh well, I'll try to be better on Blogger!

So here's a class I am going to teach September 13th at Scraporium in Lutz, FL.  I hope you like it!

This class uses Prima's Surfboard Collection Moulds and Prima's Havana paper.  The card on the bottom left is a shaker.  The owner of the store liked them so much she asked me to teach a second class!

I'll stop by soon and catch up.  I hope you are all safe and well!  HUGS!

Another upcoming class at Scraporium

THIS class sold out in less than a day so I had to schedule a second one.
Make with Prima's Watercolor Confections Shimmering Lights and a stamp from Ludiec, a designer for Different Color Stamps in The Netherlands.  This class is Perfect for someone who doesn't feel comfortable drawing but want to color with watercolors.  It is very shimmery in person!

Thanks for stopping by!

I Made a Floor Cloth!

I wanted to learn how to do something new so I took an online class from Ellen J. Goods and made a floor cloth!  She set up a private Facebook Group with step by step videos and we all made our floor cloths in the color of our choice.
Of course I can't seem to follow along and I ended up buying two pink paints from a local store because I wanted it to match my pink craft room!
Here it is:
There are layers of paint and the tile print is an old Prima stamp!  I wish Prima still sold these stamps now that I know how to use them!

Here is my floor cloth staged in my craft room:

I HIGHLY recommend this class!  Included are most of the supplies you need to make this.

Just Us Girls Challenge #538

So HaPpY to have time to play at JUGS!
Here's my card - the background that looks like watercoloring is actually designer paper from Prima.  I paired it with the text patterned paper frame and the sentiment cut from another patterned paper:
I did watercolor the flowers and cut them out.

I hope you like my card!

I Put together another class for Scraporium for July 2020

Three Cards and a Tag or 2!

This is the sample board

This first card features that cute wooden Julie Nutting girl and rose gold Metallique wax.

This card features the rose gold wax and Prima's Pretty Mosaic paper and ephemera.

This card features flowers and a stencil from Prima's Lavendar Frost Collection touched by rose gold wax.

The big tag has more of the stencil, rose gold wax, and lots of layers.
The small tag is actually a Tommy Bahama tag with embossed banana leaves highlighted by the rose gold wax and more layers.  This should be a fun class!

These are the goodies everyone will receive with the class!

Thanks for stopping by!
Stay safe and well!

Creating During Isolation

The following was supposed to be a class at Scraporium but with the Coronavirus, it became kits.  Then when I took the kits to Scraporium, 4 people wanted to make them so we all wore masks and sat at least 6 feet apart.  I can't tell you how much fun it was to teach - although it WAS challenging with a mask on!

It's a File folder mini album using Prima's Capri Collection.  I even had photos of my Australia/New Zealand bucket list trip with captions.  Here you go:

This album is made with 2 file folders!  Since I learned how to make it, and then experimented until I made it even better, I have been making albums with all of my leftover paper pads and embellies!  These make great gifts, too!

I printed all of the descriptions on my computer and copied onto card stock.  I like how this book looks consistent throughout!

June Prima Water Color Class at Scraporium in Tampa, FL

They asked for a basic water color class and this is what I came up with using Prima's Currents Collection.  Each student will receive this set of blues and greens and we will play with techniques and eventually turn their FAVS into 4 cards.

My personal FAV:
I made this design years ago with acrylics and now I've replicated it with water colors.  There is sand from the Caribbean and glass glitter to mimic the waves splashing on the beach.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you are creating and staying healthy!

Creating During Isolation

BEFORE all of this self isolating stared, I bought several wood things at Hobby Lobby with the intention of creation things for classes.  In the meantime 2 of my April classes were canceled and I can only hope I can teach in May.  I don't want to get too backlogged.

Well anyway, I bought this cool metal wall hanging with wood on it and the following is what I created with Prima's Pretty Mosaic collection, a new Finnabair Stencil called Mind Games, and lots of mixed media goodness!  I hope you like it!
It has many layers and I hope I can remember it all when it comes time to teach the class!

Here's a close-up of the collage I made to act as the backdrop for my Mom's beautiful photo.  She was 15 here and looks like a movie star!  I put the word grateful nest to her image.

Here is a close-up of the light molding paste with the stencil and sprays and waxes and icing paste and Sparks paint and even stickles on top!  The text is an old Tim Holtz Christmas stamp that you can't read but I love the font!

Okay that's it for me today!

Mini Album made with 2 manilla file folders

Hello Everyone!
I learned how to make mini albums with file folders on YouTube and now I am using my leftover 6 x 6 paper pads and creating like crazy!

This album will be a class at Scraporium in Tampa using the leftover papers from the Prima Mosaic card class I am teaching.  I LOVE how much fun these are to make!

Can you see the translucent Nuvo Jewel drops?  I think they are a cool little detail!

I have another I will post later with Prima's Capri Collection.

Now for my dilemma.  I am in LOVE with Instagram and am now posting infrequently on my blog.  Instagram is so much faster and easier with way more feedback.  But if I stop posting on my blog, I will lose the regulars that don't Instagram but follow me here.
Any opinions out there?

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you like this!

Canvas Using Prima's NEW Surf Board Collection

THIS canvas will be a March 7, 2020 class at Scraporium:
I LOVE these papers and the waves just called to me!  It's hard to see in the pic but the whitecaps are swirls of Nuvo Glitter drops plus I put glitter drops around the canvas itself.  The waves are 3D and in layers.

I hope you like it!

JUGS #520 - Butterflies

With only a little time left to play, I made this shaker card:
It's a shaker card with an old Technique Tuesday frame die and pink micro beads.  I thought it complimented the pretty Prima foiled paper!
I hope you like it!

104-year-old WWII veteran asks for Valentine's Day cards!

UPDATE - THIS IS REALLY TAKING OFF!  FOLLOWING IS A STORY ABOUT A SARASOTA TEACHER WHERE I LIVE WHO ALSO SAW THIS STORY AND HAS HER STUDENTS MAKING CARDS FOR THIS VET!  HE IS GOING TO BE SO OVERWHELMED!

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/suncoast-students-sending-valentines-day-cards-to-veteran-for-his-birthday/ar-BBZ7Fkv?ocid=hplocalnews

Original Post:
A Stockton WWII veteran is getting Valentine’s Day cards from across Northern California after request by his friends at his senior living community went viral. Maj. Bill White, 104, said he is surprised by the outpouring of love. White was in Iwo Jima when soldiers raised the U.S. flag over Mt. Surabachi. Shortly after that decisive victory during WWII, White was wounded by a grenade that detonated near him. He was later awarded the Purple Heart. White is so well thought of at his senior living center that his friends asked on social media for the community to send him Valentine’s Day cards. Now he is receiving cards from all over!

Card Making with Prima's Moon Child Collection

First I made a card for my Dear Friend who's Mom passed away.  She had zero quality of life left and willed herself to pass.  It was a blessing if any of you have experienced something like it.  I hope my card lets my friend know how much I love her.
The only issue is that I have to take it to the post office tomorrow to mail because the butterfly body is made from wood and too fat to mail flat.  Besides popping the frame, I added some Nuvo gold drops in each flower center to match the gold on the butterfly.

Then I decided just to create with my Moon Child stash and made 3 more cards:
I didn't realize this Prima flower had pearls on wires coming out of the petals!  It is so pretty in person!  I added stickles to the flower centers on this card.

On this card I used the vellum that was part of the packaging in the flower pack.  To hide the glue I used to adhere the vellum to the water color paper, I added Nuvo drops in raspberry.

For this last card I just HAD to make a shaker with gold glass glitter!  The Nuvo drops around the edges are transparent which looks so cool IRL!  I also added the tulle with gold stars to go with the astral theme.

I hope you like my cards.  It was so FUN to create just for the sake of creating with no challenge or class or any other reason to create!

Happy New Year 2020!
