A MMCC #9 ~ Surf's Up

It's Challenge #9 at A Mixed Media Color Challenge and we are creating with light pink,
red and aqua.  Pretty FAB clor combo, isn't it??!!!

I decided to create a canvas for this photo of my son when he was 14.  He was skim boarding at the beach in Destin, FL, and struck a pose!  I call this, "Surf's Up."
I used MANY Mona Pendleton Designs to make this background and I am pleased with how it turned out - masculine even with the light pink!

In the upper left I used MPD Collage Backgrounds both for the bold numbers in the corner and for the text on the aqua paper behind the photo.  I used a MPD Checkerboard stencil and painted some of the squares light pink so they would stand out a little more and draw your eye in toward the photo.  I also randomly stamped the chickenwire in black using my MPD Distressed Background Blocks.

In the lower right corner I used the MPD Scallop Stencil because it reminded me of waves - like the surf - get it??!!!  If you want to know any other details, just leave me a comment or email me.
I hope you like it!  My son certainly does!

Now go check out what Mona has created and then let us see how YOU are inspired by linking up YOUR creation to A Mixed Media Color Challenge.  We would LOVE to come by for a visit!
