OMGosh! I Won 1st Place!

This weekend I attended CKC Houston and entered a card in the Paper Crafts card contest and I won! Here's the proof so you'll believe me!
This is the bundle of goodies they gave me that I haven't even had a chance to look at yet! I took a total of 12 classes - YES, let me repeat 12 classes! - and I came home just exhausted! The funny part is, I didn't even take a picture of the card I entered because I didn't want to jinx myself! Anyway it was a Valentine card. The theme was "Healing through card making" and I talked about adopting a nursing home and making approx. 75 cards for the past two years and bringing them to these people who feel so abandoned and lonely. I am fortunate enough to have the nursing home give me the resident's names so I can personalize each card and deliver it right to that person. I am proud to say that the church I volunteer at had their children's summer camp group make cards (with supplies I provided) and they took them to this very same nursing home. The residents were tickled pink to have all of these children and their parents bring them cards and visit with them. Thanks for stopping by!
