CR84FN65 - With Sympathy

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors this week at CR84FN65 and hope to see lots of Pretty cards in the gallery from our FAB CR84FN players!

Here is the card I made:

Never say Never!  I said I would Never use a digi until I won my choice of two sheets from Papercraft Stars when they were sponsored by theHouseAcrosstheBay.  Well, their digis are GORGEOUS and I was able to use the one above with the flowers for this week's color challenge!  LOVE it!  Can't wait to use more of them!

This is a Sympathy card for a man who lost his wife after being married for 58 years.  I truly feel his loss since my Dad was married to Mom for 53 years.  I don't know him very well but I wanted to make him a card to let him know how sorry I am.

I loved using all of the vellum for the sentiments so the pretty papers could show through.

I hope you like it!

Now go check out what the other DT members listed in my sidebar have made for your inspiration and then come link your card using these colors in our gallery!
THX for stopping by!

A stunningly soft and sweet sympathy card, Sue; LOVE your use of vellum here and that bloom atop the frilly edging! I've never used a digi, so I understand your reluctance, but this turned out so very lovely and I'm sure your recipient will very much appreciate your kindness.

Sue I felt the same way about digi's but I'm a hybrid stamper now & lovin' it. Your card is sooo pretty and I think this gentleman will appreciate your thoughfulness more than you know. I love everything about this card and you've put the challenge colors to great use. :) Hugs

Oh Sue...I can feel your heart pouring out from this card. It is absolutely beautiful and I'm sure it will be so appreciated. I hope we are both blessed to be like your mom and dad and spend over 50 years together. When the time comes and it seems like it is not enough we will know in our hearts that we have succeeded in love. Hugs to you my friend.
